Keen eye and the vision of Mr Abdulla Sawad, Leo Trading Pvt. Ltd. started its operation in the early 2000 and prospered to what it is today.
Maldives is a country consisting of some 1192 tropical islands of which 200 islands are inhabited and over 100 resort islands. As the islands are scattered in the Indian Ocean, transportation and delivery of physical items, especially heavy industrial items, were close to impossible to deliver.
It was a huge challenge for the government, in terms of economic and infrastructural development and for the local businesses, in terms of business growth and development. However, with keen eye and the vision of Mr Abdulla Sawad, Leo Trading Pvt. Ltd. started its operation in the early 2000 and prospered to what it is today.
Company History
The company initially started as a trading company – mostly wholesale – in the capital city of Maldives concentrating on FMCGs and industrial consumables. As the market for FMCGs were hectic and intense, Mr Sawad strategically aligned the company’s direction to industrialized goods and services. It was the right move and best fit for the company.
